Ellen M. Freeberg serves as Associate Dean for The New School for Social Research in New York City. She has taught courses on contemporary political theory, American politics, civil liberties, and feminist thought. Along with publication of her book Regarding Equality: Rethinking Contemporary Theories of Citizenship, Freedom, and the Limits of Moral Pluralism, she has published a variety of pieces on political thought, and most recently, has partnered with Professors Gina Luria Walker and Lara Zuzan Golesorkhi to elevate the life and writings of 20th century economist Frieda Wunderlich, a founding figure within The New School's 1933 University in Exile. She remains committed to advancing research and teaching about women's diverse and expansive contributions to intellectual history.
